Atladis Company, which was in shadow for a long period of time, launched several perspective projects at once. In July, 2006, on the conference of business partners of the company Altadis Balkan Star it was declared about the launch on the market of one of the most conservative cigarette brand in Russia. Balkanskaya Zvezda, the design of which has not been refreshed for eight years, assumed not only new design, but a new flavor as well.
According to the contemporary market demands, tar and nicotine content for two versions was reduced. This measure, as company collaborators suppose, is able to help the brand to hold leading positions in its segment and to restore the market share, which receded several times for the last two years.
Now, flavor line looks in the following way: Balkanskaya Zvezda Classic (13/0,9mg), Mild (12/0,8mg), Light (11/0,7mg) and Super Light (5/0,5mg). The design of the pack was also refreshed. The new graphical element was added into the centre of the pack. Eight point star, at the center of which there is an emblem of Balkanskaya Zvezda Factory. For the first sight, the changes seem to be inessential; however, the presence of such element makes the pack looks more stylish.
